U.S. ARMY GASMASK HOSE RELIC.................. found in 2002 on Schwarzer-Mann hill in the Siegfried line positions held by U.S. 106TH INFANTRY DIVISION in December 1944.............. surprisingly I have found very few hoses, yet have found dozens of gasmasks........... I know old hoses were cut up to make 'edgers' for dogtags but you wouldn't need too many hoses to make those......... maybe the Germans took them for some reason as they captured the area........ I found a foxhole up there with 28 masks in it, seperate hole next to it had loads of rotted containers....... but no sign of the hoses........
