Product Information

This is the last remaining canopy of 8 that were found in a Bastogne attic back in 2001, all the others went into collections in Europe ,UK and USA. These were probably the best find that I ever had in 34 yrs of looking around the Ardennes. All of them had their lines cut and most had repairs done to them as a result of damage from previous drops................. from what I know, these were intended for use as covers for the wounded and after the fighting the locals seemed to have helped themselves to what ever they could carry away......... nicely dated and guaranteed 100% genuine article......... 24 panel canopy, original makers spec and date still visible......... some original small areas of damage. I just can't display this anywhere here and it sits in a cupboard, so time to let it go....... I had never found canopies before or since this one find and i have been hunting around for over 34 yrs now......... Would be a great purchase for any  101st re-enactment group..........
